In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and demonstrate the rich and colorful Asian cultural heritage in a multi-dimensional way, the "2022 Beijing White Pagoda Culture Week" series of activities, sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage, the Beijing Xicheng District Government, and organized by the Capital Museum and the Beijing White Pagoda Temple Management Office, were launched in Beijing White Pagoda Temple on November 7, 2022, which was aimed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

With the theme of "Work together to make China-Nepal Cultural Heritage Shine Brightly", the Cultural Week aims to deeply explore the unique historical and cultural resources of the White Pagoda Temple, give full play to the roles of the White Pagoda Temple and Anigo as bridges and ties in the friendly exchanges between China and Nepal, and comprehensively show the profound historical value and unique cultural significance of the White Pagoda Temple, a cultural heritage, from all way around. At the opening ceremony, the White Pagoda Temple Management Office of Beijing signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Patan Museum of Nepal. Chen Song, Deputy Director General of the Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented calligraphy works symbolizing China-Nepal friendship to Chabindra Pallajuli, Economic Minister of the Nepalese Embassy in China.

It is reported that the Cultural Week will last until November 13, consisting of the opening ceremony, theme activities and closing ceremony. It has set up 6 theme days, designed nearly 20 colorful themed activities including boutique exhibitions, academic exchanges, cultural fairs and public interactions, and presented the rich and excellent cultural resources of China and Nigeria from multiple perspectives.

This cultural week will further explore the Chinese-Nepalese friendship in the history and cultural connotation of the White Pagoda Temple, explain the historical achievements of Anigo as a cultural envoy of friendly exchanges between China and Nepal, better demonstrate the role of the White Pagoda Temple as a bridge and link in China Nepal exchanges, further promote the mutual communication and rational use of excellent cultural resources of the two countries in the new era, and constantly push the Sino-Nepal friendship across the Himalayas to a new height, and make positive contributions to jointly building a China-Nepal community of common destiny.
