Recently, the Beijing Investment Promotion Service Center held an online special session for Germany to introduce Beijing's "Two Zones" policy. Themed "Seizing Business Opportunities and Partnering for Industrial Cooperation", the event focused on the intelligent manufacturing industry, with more than 60 enterprises and organizations attending online.

During the event, the Municipal Office for the "Two Zones" highlighted the overall picture of the opening-up of the "Two Zones". Centering around the intelligent and green development of local industries, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology explicated the Plan of Beijing Municipality on Implementing "New Smart Manufacturing 100" Project (2021-2025). Representatives from Fengtai District introduced about the local business environment, key industrial parks such as Zhongguancun Science Park Fengtai Park, Beijing Lize Financial Business District and Beijing Garden Expo Digital Economy Industrial Park, and preferential policies. Representatives from Shunyi District gave an introduction focusing on the construction and operation of the Beijing Sino-German International Cooperation Industrial Park as well as its policy measures. Two German companies, Steinbeis GmbH & Co. KG für Technologietransfer and CAVETE Consulting, shared their successful practices and experience in terms of doing business in Beijing.

In the open session, German enterprises exchanged their opinions with the officials present online in terms of Beijing's investment environment and supporting policies. According to the representatives from enterprises and institutions, this event enabled them to learn the latest achievements of the development of the "Two Zones" as well as Beijing's latest policy measures including the "New Smart Manufacturing 100" Project, thus boosting the confidence of German enterprises in investing in Beijing, and helping them seize business opportunities and plan for their development in Beijing in advance.
