Located in central Beijing, Beihai Park is China's earliest and best-preserved existing classical imperial garden with the most profound cultural deposit. Built around Beihai Lake, the park covers an area of 69 hectares (including a water area of 39 hectares) and is mainly composed of the Jade Islet, the eastern bank area, and the northern bank area.
Foreign visitors wishing to visit the park need to call (010) 64037972 to make a reservation at least one day in advance and provide information such as real name, nationality, and passport or other identification numbers. Reservations can be made during office hours from 9:00 to 16:00 every day. To enter the park, visitors must go to the information desk at the south gate of the park on the scheduled day to purchase a ticket with the original document consistent with the reservation information. Tickets will not be sold on-site to visitors who do not make a reservation.
