Executive Vice-Mayor Cui Shuqiang
Mr. Cui Shuqiang, of the Han nationality, born in Beijing in May 1963, joined the Communist Party of China in September 1988 and began his career in July 1985. He is a doctor of economics and a senior economist, and obtained his bachelor's degree in Beijing College of Finance and Commerce, majoring in industrial and commercial administration. He is a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Executive Vice Mayor of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.
Responsibilities: Mr. Cui Shuqiang is responsible for the executive work of the Municipal Government. He is in charge of development and reform, finance, emergency management, foreign affairs, Hong Kong and Macao affairs, statistics, coordination and support of poverty alleviation, and the construction of Universal Beijing Resort. He also assists the mayor in auditing.
Mr. Cui Shuqiang oversees the General Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, Beijing Municipal Finance Bureau, Beijing Emergency Management Bureau, Beijing Municipal Audit Bureau, Foreign Affairs Office (Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office) of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics, Office of Beijing Municipal Leading Group for Poverty Reduction Cooperation and Assistance, and the Research Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. He is in charge of liaison with the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal People's Congress, the CPPCC Beijing Municipal Committee, Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Beijing Municipal Tax Service, Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Beijing, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Supervision under Ministry of Finance and the local office of the State Taxation Administration in Beijing.
