Dai Binbin, male, Han ethnicity, was born in January 1968 in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. He was admitted to the Communist Party of China (CPC) in May 1988 and began his career in August 1990. He graduated from Tsinghua University, majoring in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning. He is a senior engineer with a master's degree in Business Administration. He is currently a member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary-General of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. He also serves as Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director-General of the General Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.
He once served as Deputy Manager of Beijing Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Company, and then Deputy Chief Engineer of Beijing Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (BCEG) and Manager of BCEG's Real Estate Development and Operation Department.
Later, he became a member of the Standing Committee of Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, before he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, and then Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of BCEG.
He also served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting Mayor, and then Mayor of Haidian District, Secretary of the CPC Huairou District Committee, and Secretary of the Commission of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee for the Work Related to Huairou Science City (concurrently).
Responsibilities: Dai is in charge of the daily functions of the municipal government and the work of the General Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.
Dai is responsible for coordination with the central and state departments.
Dai is in charge of liaison with the Secretary-General of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, the Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, the Secretary-General of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Committee for Work Related to Offices Directly Under the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, Beijing Municipal Administration of Government Logistics, the Research Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and Beijing Municipal Administration of State Secrets Protection.
