Daxing District is located in the south of Beijing, covering an area of 1,036 square kilometers. It is 13 kilometers from Tiananmen Square. The district is the nearest outer suburb to Beijing city. It is one of the first batch of key satellite districts of the capital approved by the State Council in 1984. Yizhuang, the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, aims to build a carrier with global impact for the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.

Daxing District has a long history and is one of the earliest counties in China. It has a history of more than 2,400 years since its establishment in the pre-Qin period. The airport industry in Daxing District gains rapid development. Beijing Daxing International Airport has been in smooth operation. The key transportation networks such as Daxing Airport Expressway, rail transit Daxing Airport Line and Beijing-Xiong'an Intercity Railway have been put into operation simultaneously.
