On the evening of February 28, the 2023 National Consumption Month and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Consumption Season kicked off in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

That evening special food, products with Chinese fashions, and sports technology from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei were on display at Beijing's Qianmen Street, the main venue, providing visitors with varying customer experiences. More than 100 key activities of Tianjin's commerce, cultural tourism and sports were launched at the Tianjin Nankai Ancient Culture Wharf, a branch venue. Special zones for activities such as live streaming and interactions themed on intangible cultural heritage were set up at the Zhengding Ancient City branch venue in Hebei Province, with activities of the consumption season launched simultaneously in 11 prefecture-level cities in addition to Dingzhou, Xinji and Xiong'an New Area.

The 2023 National Consumption Month will last until March 31. In the first Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Consumption Season jointly organized by these three provincial-level regions, the Beijing consumption season will run through 2023, with coupons available for customers as well as 25 key activities such as the World Premiere Festival and the Winter Solstice Reunion Festival. Based on their respective resources, the three regions will create a series of brand projects with local characteristics, launch iconic consumption-themed activities, and jointly build consumption platforms.

The 2023 National Consumption Month and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Consumption Season are jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, China Media Group, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, Tianjin Municipal People's Government and the People's Government of Hebei Province.
