The 2022 Beijing "Consumption Season"  is to kick off across Beijing on March 1 and will last till the end of 2022. The campaign consists of eight major sections covering 24 representative citywide activities.

The "Debut in Beijing" section will integrate new arrivals of domestic and overseas brands. During the Beijing Launch Festival, over 100 brands, including Xiaomi, China Gold, and BYD are to hold themed shows of their new arrivals in SKP, China World Mall, Taikoo Li Sanlitun and other shopping malls where major fashion brands gather in the city.

The "Fashion Beijing" section will lead the new fashion trend. The Beijing International Fashion Festival, which is to be held during the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), will unfold activities including an international fashion ceremony, interactive exhibitions and pre-sales of chic products. Beijing Fashion Week will be celebrated by organizing domestic famous brands to launch a series of activities including a fashion trend show and fashion exhibitions.

The "Chic Shopping in Beijing" section covers activities including China-chic brands from Beijing, auto purchasing and online shopping of brand and quality products. The festival dedicated to Beijing's original brands will feature a China-chic brands show, creative design contest, voting of new consumer brands and so forth. A series of activities themed on automobiles  will be rolled out during the auto purchasing festival when carmakers will continue offering special discounts.  As for the online shopping of brand and quality products, offers and promotions will be planned and provided by Beijing's major e-commerce platforms, namely JD, GOME, Meituan, etc.

The "Smart Shopping in Beijing" section will build a new highland for smart devices consumption. The Beijing Information Consumption Festival is going to see major telecommunication operators conduct 5G experience activities and offer users with subsidies for 5G data and terminal consumption; enterprises like JD, GOME and Suning will promote green, energy-efficient and smart consumption by giving out vouchers, exchanging used items with new products, etc. 

The "Culture in Beijing" section will offer various cultural activities by presenting a strong cultural ambience. As one of these activities, Beijing Music Corner will stage diverse live music performances in key commercial districts, cultural and creative parks and other places in this city. Multiple cultural activities will also be launched in publishing, film and television, performing arts and other industries during the 10th Beijing People Beneficial Cultural Consumption Season.

The "Colorful Beijing" section will launch an event themed "Night Capital" in which the late night canteen festival, star music festival, running through the city and other activities will be held. A total of 20 streets with midnight canteens will cooperate to boost the night economy. During the Sports Shopping Carnival, LI-NING, ANTA and other famous sports enterprises and gyms will offer sales and discount promotions. During the ice and snow consumption festival, a series of activities will be carried out in more than 100 winter sports venues. Art exhibitions themed with ice and snow will be held in a number of shopping malls.

The "Flavors in Beijing" section will further promote this city as one for gourmet. During the event of "Beijing Fun Food", the list of the most popular food in Beijing will be released, and activities including Looking for Tasty Food in Beijing Suburbs, Beijing Food Festival and International Food Festival will be rolled out. A variety of time-honored brands and food and beverage chain brands will launch activities such as “dine and dash”, and provide special sales and limited-time offers.

The "Beijing Quality" section includes activities such as the High-life Quality Festival, in addition to action for service quality improvement and publicity month for business integrity, in a bid to raise the satisfaction of consumers.
