At 19:00 on July 9, Beijing Panjiayuan Flea Market was bustling with people who were gathering for the second "Cultural Night Market", a refreshed night fair for the public.

After scanning their health code and having their temperature checked, antique-lovers armed with flashlights entered and went straight to the eastern part of the market where antique ornaments and intangible handicrafts were displayed. While in the western part, the fashionable and retro toy bazaar was most attractive for young people. The nighttime auction at the entrance of the market was also appealing to many people.

According to the Flea Market staff, the Cultural Night Market intends to bring back an atmosphere where traditional folk culture is front and center. It will regularly organize Chinese folk art performances such as cross talk and storytelling, and open-air movie screenings will also be held every other week. The Cultural Night Market will be open 19:00 to 24:00 every Friday.
