Tang-Dynasty tri-color glazed camels on display at the "Historic Encounters: Interaction Between China and West Asia in History" exhibition

On January 11, the joint opening ceremony of two exhibitions "Historic Encounters: Interaction Between China and West Asia in History" and "The Glory of the Ancient Persia: Exhibition of Iranian Cultural Relics" took place at the Meridian Gate (Wu Men) Exhibition Hall of the Palace Museum.

The Palace Museum has engaged in collaborative efforts with the National Museum of Iran, Iran’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, and the Royal Commission for AlUla of Saudi Arabia, and launched three exhibitions at the Meridian Gate at the beginning of the year: "Historic Encounters: Interaction Between China and West Asia in History" running from January 12 to April 11 at the Main Hall Gallery, "The Glory of the Ancient Persia" held from January 12 to April 11 at the East Wing of the Tower Gallery, and "AlUla, Wonder of Arabia" on display from January 6 to March 22 at the West Wing of the Tower Gallery.

An exhibit showcased at the "Historic Encounters" exhibition. This exhibition features a collection of 266 pieces (sets) of representative items and pictures from ten domestic and international archaeological and cultural institutions.
