The first "forest bookstore" in northern Beijing's Changping district has opened recently.

Located in a forest park, the bookstore provides a multifunctional space for people to read, dine, and rest. According to its manager, the bookstore will add 9,000 books soon, covering the areas of art, city exploration, history, and parenting while providing fast food items such as coffee and hamburgers.

Different from traditional bookstores, the new "forest bookstore" has intentionally set up a reading area without electrical outlets, encouraging readers to put down their devices and focus on their books.

More similar bookstores are expected to open in parks across Beijing.
