The Capital Library of China (hereinafter referred to as the "Library") officially launched "Yuexiangjingcai" (阅享京彩) Online Borrowing System (hereinafter referred to as the "System") on August 30.

The System can be accessed via the official WeChat account of the Library. Users can search for and borrow the books they want after linking their physical Reader's Cards (which can only be obtained offline with the original copies of valid ID documents such as ID Cards and passports) to their accounts. Millions of Chinese books borrowable including those for children will be available for the users of the System. The holders of B-level and above "Yikatong" Reader's Cards or A-level and above "Yikatong for Kids" Reader's Cards can borrow books online, get access to the information of the books newly collected by the Library whenever they want, and browse recommended book lists with different themes, to acquire the Library's resources in a more convenient way.

Two options of borrowing, namely "Home Delivery" and "Branch Delivery", are also available in the System. Users choosing "Home Delivery" will get their ordered books delivered to their homes by express services after they confirm the orders and finish paying logistic fees. Users choosing "Branch Delivery" meanwhile can make their requests via the nearby picking points, which can be found in Beijing's 15 districts, and check the request status via the System at any time, with no logistic fees charged. The maximum borrowing period for each book obtained online lasts also for 42 days, commencing on the day the user signs for the parcel containing the desired book and ending on the day the book is picked up by a delivery man from the user's home. To return the books, users can mail the books to the Library at their expense, or return the books directly to one of the 403 "Yikatong" membership libraries located within Beijing.
