Located in Longfusi area, More Than Reading is a melding of a library and bookstore. Books in the public reading area are co-managed by the bookstore with the First Library of Beijing Dong Cheng District. For a deposit of only CNY 100, readers can register for a United Reader's Card using the self-help machine and borrow up to 10 books at a time from a selection of over 6,000. Readers can also use the machine to return the books they have borrowed at other public libraries in Beijing.

Handicrafts and refreshment areas are scattered throughout the bookstore, allowing customers to shop and have coffee or snacks. The building is divided into seven zones, including the public reading zone, the dining zone, the activity zone, the toy zone and the comic zone. The second floor of the comic zone is decorated in the same style of a living room, where interviews can be held.
