On August 14, Beijing Central Axis Food and Beverage Cultural Bazaar (hereinafter referred to as the "Event") themed "One Hundred Flavors and a Thousand Shops Along the Central Axis" officially kicked off at Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum (Xiannongtan Temple). At the same time, Beijing Central Axis Food Map covering 27 landmarks and 79 specialty restaurants was released.

The venue of the Event

The venue of the Event offers a space with immersive experiences, presenting a full picture of the food and beverage culture along Beijing's Central Axis. A total of 22 catering merchants, including Quanjude, Fangshan Restaurant, Lai Jin Yu Xuan Restaurant, Kaorou Ji, Jinfang Snacks, Xiaochang Chen Fanzhuang, Nanlaishun Restaurant, Douyichu Restaurant, Huguosi Snacks, Tea Soup Li, Cuihualou, Makai Restaurant, and SUNNYUM, displayed hundreds of different specialties and cooking techniques listed as intangible cultural heritage items. At the Event, Zhang Yiyuan Tea Shop, Red Star Erguotou Museum, and Yanjing Brewery also showcased the unique tea and drinking cultures of Beijing.

Beijing Central Axis Food Map

On August 14, Dianping, an online platform releasing reviews of restaurants and other businesses alike, simultaneously launched its special web page titled "One Hundred Flavors and a Thousand Shops Along the Central Axis" along with Beijing Central Axis Food Map, covering 27 landmarks and 79 specialty restaurants and providing consumers with an exclusive guide to the gastronomical delights along Beijing's Central Axis.
