The 38th Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Carnival attracted a great number of visitors during the Spring Festival holiday in 2024.

Due to its popularity, the official WeChat account of Yanqing District People's Government of Beijing Municipality said that the carnival which was originally scheduled to run until February 29 will now be extended to March 3, allowing visitors to view traditional ice lanterns and color lanterns, and take part in activities related to snow sculptures and the frozen valley in the Longqing Gorge Scenic Area.
