On January 16, the unveiling ceremony for the unmanned patrol cars vehicles "Intelligent Patrol for Safety" was held in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA). The unmanned patrol vehicles are the first in China to be authorized for road testing.

The 15 unmanned patrol vehicles developed independently by Neolix Huitong (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., a Beijing-based autonomous car manufacturer, will run 24 hours every day at various industrial parks, subway stations, commercial plazas, and other crowded and key venues within the 60-square-kilometer-large BDA.

Each vehicle is equipped with L4-level autonomous driving technology and can perform various tasks such as responding to immediate requests for assistance, conducting patrols, promoting laws and regulations, and responding to emergencies.

Several unmanned patrol vehicles were observed during a road test on Hongda Middle Road in BDA.
