Recently, Beijing Tiantan Hospital announced the debut of "Longying", a large language AI model specifically designed and developed for medical imaging diagnosis, along with the world's first Chinese-language digital radiologist "Xiaojun" created based on this model. It is reported that "Xiaojun" has a pair of "piercing eyes", which can provide accurate and efficient diagnostic information for hundreds of diseases, taking only 0.8 seconds on average for one case.

The model "Longying" is built based on more than one million high-quality medical images from the radiology department, as well as decades of professional image diagnosis experiences from Beijing Tiantan Hospital. In addition, a team of senior AI experts have spent over three years training it.

Today, "Xiaojun", one of the tangible incarnations of "Longying", can diagnose hundreds of diseases, including tumors and infections, in over 10 body parts such as the brain, neck and chest, and provide corresponding diagnostic information.

After diagnosing nearly 1,000 cases, "Xiaojun" has achieved a one-time diagnosis accuracy rate of over 95 percent. Expected to be a proficient radiologist, "Xiaojun" has not only mastered medical skills but also can provide uninterrupted work 24 hours every day. This ensures that patients' diagnostic imaging needs can be met in a more timely and efficient manner.

Moving forward, with the continuous enrichment and improvement of functions, "Longying" has the potential to train digital radiologists that can adapt to various diagnosis and treatment requirements as well as regional characteristics that are determined by regional and linguistic features, diagnosis habits, etc.
