Yanqing District in northwest Beijing has officially signed a land transfer contract with Hangtianshidai Feihong Technology Co., Ltd.. It marks the relocation of an industrial base for drone equipment in Yanqing. Construction of the project is scheduled to start before the end of this year.　

The recent move is among the key industrial projects of China's 14th Five-year Plan (2021-2015), with an approximate investment of over CNY 1.2 billion.

Taking the drone industry as the district's key industry for cultivation in recent years, Yanqing District has formed a relatively clear plan and explicit system for the industry's development. In October, 2020, the district was selected among the first batch of the Unmanned Aviation Pilot Area for Civil Uses of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

To further complement and refine key industrial chains, Yanqing District is projected to establish a domestically leading and world-class advanced drone industrial base which integrates intelligent production, testing and equipment training.
