On December 14, 2021, the opening ceremony of 2021 Beijing Tour for Overseas Talents and Beijing International Youth Innovation and Development Forum, guided by Beijing Talent Work Bureau and held by Beijing Overseas Talents Center, kicked off in Beijing, unveiling the "Beijing Consensus 2021 for Global Youth Innovation and Development" to the world.

Jointly launched by organizations and individuals including Beijing Overseas Talents Center, Dr. Hans-Peter Friedrich, founder of the China-Bridge Association in Germany, Yenching Academy of Peking University and Schwarzman Scholars of Tsinghua University, the "Beijing Consensus 2021 for Global Youth Innovation and Development" is aimed at calling on outstanding scientists, entrepreneurs, experts in investment and financing, scholars, and social activists to support youth innovation and development, thus establishing a community of global youth innovation and development, and facilitating the innovation and development of youth across the world. So far, nearly fifty organizations from all over the world have made the decision or had the intention to join the global innovation service network, among which over twenty organizations have signed the "Beijing Consensus 2021 for Global Youth Innovation and Development".

It is the tenth time that the "Beijing Tour for Overseas Talents" has been held. This year, the event, building on its past success, has connected more innovative talents with employers through the International Youth Innovation and Development Forum and attracted the participation of several hundred overseas young talents from 26 countries and regions including the U.S., the U.K., Japan, Germany, Australia and Pakistan. There are 140 talents selected by the organizer to gather in Beijing. To enable a precise matching, Beijing Overseas Talents Center worked closely with Beijing Municipal Administrative Center and Huairou Science City to hold a series of special activities, which, in the form of online policy promotions and road shows, have helped connect talents with employers like overseas students pioneer parks and venture capital institutions and attracted global exceptional talents to seek development in Beijing.
