From May 29 to June 4, the China Science Fiction Convention 2023 (CSFC 2023) will kick off, lasting seven days. A number of science fiction films will premiere during the convention. In addition, the establishment of two sci-fi master studios of Wang Jinkang and Liu Cixin will be announced to provide more favorable conditions for sci-fi creation and talent cultivation.

Under the theme of "Dream for Science and Create a Future", CSFC 2023 consists of 40 events in four aspects, the opening ceremony, special forums, sci-fi exhibitions, and sci-fi activities. At 19:30 on May 29, the opening ceremony will be held in the south square of No. 1 Blast Furnace in Shougang Park.

CSFC 2023 will release a report on Chinese sci-fi industry and launch the sci-fi technical award "Xingqiu Award". The award welcomes names and entries from around the world. The final name will be determined by two sci-fi masters, Wang Jinkang and Liu Cixin. More than 200 projects from the technology teams of new hit movies and top domestic technology teams have signed up for the award. The championship award will be announced at the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, the latest achievements of the Science Fiction Industrial Consortium and Beijing Science Fiction Industry Fund will be released, with a press conference to release new sci-fi products.

The CSFC 2021 announced the establishment of China's first national science advisor pool for sci-fi films. Currently, the advisor pool has provided scientific advisory services for many sci-fi films, including Moon Man. Among them, a new sci-fi film, Flying to Kepler-22B, envisions the path of human beings' brave exploration of the universe for survival, and its trailer will be released at the opening ceremony.

During the convention, a sci-fi carnival with Beijing characteristics will be held, including activities such as the night of sci-fi films. A number of sci-fi films, such as Journey to the Moon and The Law in Deep Sea, will premiere on the night of sci-fi films. In addition, light shows will take place in the No. 1 Blast Furnace of Shougang Park, bringing science fiction closer to sci-fi enthusiasts and the public.
